Any one wondering if they introduced Theo and/or The Footman so Eloise could have the Cinderella story and Benedict end up with a gender swapped Sophie, someone new, or even Phillip? Cause while his queer coding stays ridiculously obvious, they clearly tried to steer Eloise away from her previous queer coding this season. I think that would be interesting, honestly. I’d love opinions, but no hate please. It’s just a thought.

Hey all.

My job’s payroll clerk was out due to Covid exposure, and half the office won’t be getting paid this pay period as a result. Guess which half I land in? I desperately need money to cover rent and gas. I’m willing to write fanfic requests for donations, or any other reasonable online request, tbh. Seriously, I’m extremely desperate.

Please, if you can help me out I’ll be forever grateful.

I’m so fucking tired. I don’t want to do this anymore.

I’m so sad, and tired.

I don’t want to feel like this anymore.

The female character hierarchy:

“she’s aro/ace uwu” = fan favorite female character who’s not an immediate threat to the popular m/m ship

“she’s a strong independent woman who doesn’t need a man!” = main heroine who clearly has chemistry with main hero, or any WoC

“I don’t hate her, but…” = impending threat to popular m/m ship, erased from the story/written out in fanworks

“She lied to this male character once, that means she’s abusive!!” = canon love interest, immediate threat to the popular m/m ship, gets all her hate tagged

Anonymous asked:

i hope this isn’t a weird question, but why do you find that you tend to gravitate towards rarepairs and sideships/noncanon/barely canon ships? is it because of how shitty, obnoxious, and hegemonic big shipping fandoms are? or is it because the main romances/love triangles on most shows tend to be awful and trite? or a combination of both maybe?

thefudge Answer:

^^^^

you kind of answered it for me! hegemonic big shipping is exactly right, and trite writing is also absolutely correct. and there’s always just so much more creative and transformative potential in the margins.

on another note, watched The Mummy (1999) the other day and I couldn’t help  feel like the O’Connells and the Addams (Addams Family Values (1993) would get on really well ya know? The O’Connells are basically the pastel adventure version of the Addams, surely they would just be vibin’ over tea and crumpets in an extremely haunted mansion having a ball of a time

Morticia: “So what is it you do for a living my dear?”

Evelyn: “We dig up dead people who often have monstrous curses placed on them!”

Morticia: “fascinating

Gomez: *leaping out from behind a pillar which is encrusted with ominous looking runes* en garde!

Rick: *grabs sword from equally ominous looking wall full of weapons one of which seems to be glowing* fantastic I was getting a bit rusty

Gomez: *nearly in tears* oh he’s screaming nonsensically, what spirit! what reslove!

*Rick and Gomez, still frantically sword fighting*

Rick: Have I mentioned how wonderful my wife is yet, I really feel like I haven’t really expanded enough on how wonderful she is

Gomez: do go on, I would be delighted to hear about how wonderful your wife is, I strongly encourge all men to extoll the virtues of their wives with rapturous praise, however I should perhaps mention my wife is in fact better

*sword fighting intensifies as both men rapturously extoll the virtues of their wives*

Jonathan and Thing knew one another from The War; each thought the other to be dead

Their reunion is highly emotional
